v=gfbvGvJsAMM&list=PLLVts612J19Z2bi4LzHxB0wM8r1ecq8Gk or click on the link in
D2L under Week #13 Module. Once the carton has been viewed, process the below
questions in a Word document using metacognition. Place our responses below each
question. Once completed upload your document into the D2L Dropbox Module labeled
Charlie Brown.
Questions:
o Who has put forth the most effort in making the Thanksgiving dinner a success?
Why did you come to that conclusion? Support your response with two
examples.
o Charlie Brown and his sister had other plans for Thanksgiving. How/why did his
plans change? Would you consider bullying to have been a factor? Why or why
not?
o What are your thoughts about Snoopy and his relationship with Woodstock (the
bird)?
o Who appears to be the voice of reason? Why did you choose that character?
Provide two examples.
o What are your thoughts as to why Franklin was isolated to the other side of the
table all by himself? What are your observations? What are some potentially
deeper societal issues involved? Justify your response.
o What symbolic messaging could there have been related to the red and white
fold-up chair and the fight (which is pretty funny) with Snoopy? (Hint: think of
the time in which this cartoon was created. Think about Franklin. Ask yourself
what was going on in America at that time?)
Background Information: A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was based upon the
popular comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It was originally aired on the
CBS network on November 20, 1973.
