Researching for Context: Friday
Growing up in a small neighborhood everybody know each other. I have chosen the movie Friday because I can 100% relate to this movie. The original movie Friday brings back so many memories growing up like this in a child hood. Always drama, parties, conflicts, and etc. The movie is based on true events that occurred with the director Ice Cube as well. When it comes to acceptance of drug use and guns as part of it characters lives. It is a "hood classic" one that could be watched over and over and over again. It opens a lot of eyes especially towards the end when Craig (Ice Cube) put the gun down and decided to fight by using his hands. This is such a good movie because their ability to improvise and contribute creatively made this movie such a classic.
