Anxiety can take an emotional and physical toll. Sometimes anxiety comes from an impending event and sometimes from an unknown outcome. The stress of anxiety can cause physical symptoms, like high blood pressure, and lead to chronic disease. Many resources are available to help deal with anxiety, from self-help books to medication. However, the Lord has been specific to say we can lean on Him and "be anxious about nothing." Even in a tense work environment, we have a resource constantly available when we call upon Him.

Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:

Background Information

Implementing strategies in the workplace is all about change and growth. As we discussed in the last workshop, change can be uncomfortable. However, we read in Philippians 4:6(new tab), “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (English Standard Version, 2001/2016).
