Everyone has a position that is tied to their identities and how they see the world. It is also informed by how the world sees them. Our positionality can also inform how we view research, conduct it, analyze it, and present it. In this 1-2-page, concise capturing of your positionalities in relation to being a researcher, clarify who you are, where you come from, what you survive, and how you see yourself, with a recognition of race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, and related social identities. You will also begin to consider your stance on research in different contexts and within different communities.
