Go to the Project Implicit website for measuring implicit social attitudes (https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/education.html). Read the information available in the Overview, About the IAT, Ethical Considerations, and Frequently Asked Questions tabs
For the Short Paper, making thorough use of the assigned reading, interpret and analyze the IAT results. In particular, using what you have learned from the assigned reading and the Project Implicit website, explain what you feel the implications of your results are for you personally; and explain what you feel the broader societal implications are of your results and of implicit attitudes about race more generally.
ach paper should be five double-spaced pages in length, word-processed using 12-point Times New Roman font, and thoroughly checked for grammar and spelling errors. Include your name and the date in the header, and include the page number in the footer. Along with content, all written assignments will be evaluated on the basis of proper organization, grammar, spelling, punctuation, word usage, and neatness. References to the course reading must be cited appropriately.
Be sure to copy and paste your IAT results into Word to include with your paper. Your IAT results should appear on a page alone, separate from the actual content of your paper and will not count toward the page requirement. (NOTE: The paper that you submit should contain about seven pages: one page with the IAT results, the five pages containing the actual text of your paper, and a references page.)
