Interview a person who has personal/professional experience that is relevant to your topic of inquiry.- ATTACHED QUESTIONS.
Describe your interview (1-2 pages) as clearly as you are able to. Maintain a position of a listener and observer without yet expressing your point of view or response.
Attached: 2 articles which are covering the process of Intuitive Inquiry Method. I think it needs to be like poetry/ literature, descriptive.
The Interview
Conduct your interview early in the week. If possible, do a face-to-face interview. If this is not possible, a telephone interview is acceptable. Listen with your whole being; be fully present and observe the interviewee’s body’s language. This will enhance your observations. Experience your interviewee as a teacher, keeping present the qualities of respect, curiosity, and appreciation. When you have completed the interview, write a a one to two-page descriptive paper of it. Use description that reflects his or her creative process, including examples that help the reader to understand it more fully.
There are numerous ways to explore the interview results. At the end of this assignment (during Week 4) we have included two structured ways that have been useful to others in the research process. One is intuitive and another is analytical. You might wish to explore one of these ways or to create your own, perhaps an art-based way. Whichever way you choose, take your time to truly hear what has been shared with you and to share that essence.
Please note: Inform your interviewee that you will be referring to your interview with her or him in class discussion and perhaps in your final paper. Check with your interviewee to see if confidentiality is required, or if you may obtain permission to quote her or him. If she or he asks for confidentiality, when you discuss or write about the person you interview, please select a pseudonym to protect confidentiality.
If you have permission to quote from your interviewee, and you wish to cite her or him in your paper, please use the APA Personal Communications citation format, as follows:
T. K. Lutes (personal communication, April 18, 2001)
(V. G. Nguyen, personal communication, September 28, 1998)
