Part 1
After viewing the Introduction to Curriculum-Making slides and reading English (2010) (pages 1-13), address the following questions in no more than 4 paragraphs.
1) What role do teachers have in shaping the curriculum and how should they go about their curriculum-making?
2) What are the educational consequences if teachers are not curriculum-makers and instead are just "curriculum-users" or "curriculum implementers?"
3) After reading English's (2010) definition and explanation of curriculum, what are the considerations that you think most impact teachers?
4) How do the GeoCapabiliites project and English take up aspects of knowledge? What insights do you have around what knowledge young people should learn in school and specifically in your subject area?
