2) Continue Drafting “Your Research Canvas” (Pages 37-45)

• Continue developing the second draft of your research canvas by refining previous information such as the research problem and purpose of the study and draft your research questions and hypothesis. You should consider the feedback you have received from your professor on your week 1 initial research canvas. Do not forget that the idea is to refine your problem and purpose. You do not need to concentrate on the other 7 aspects!
• Submit your work for evaluation and feedback.

note: As you have seen in the research canvas document, it is paramount to define the problem and purpose clearly.

Step 1 – The Problem should identify a real-world problem or management dilemma and provide a brief description of the issue, the undesirable symptoms, and our inability or lack of knowledge to solve the problem. All the other canvas components are designed to produce a contribution to knowledge that will help solve this problem.

Step 2 – The Purpose statement builds on the knowledge gap in the problem statement and describes what new knowledge and insights the study will produce. This is not the specific content or answer but rather the type of knowledge and insights that will be produced. The new contribution should directly address the knowledge gap in the problem statement so that we can use the results to help address the problem.

1. Your statements should be short, specific, clear, and concise
2. Use bullet points as short and concise as possible.
3. Not more than six bullet points
4. No need to write anything for the other seven steps; you will not receive any feedback
