student 1: Eurocentrism would be described as the habit to view the world in the eyes of a European value or experience. An example would be if someone said that Europe has the best government policies. Global studies perspective can help us move away from Eurocentrism with the use of critical thinking by understanding that each country has their form of government that is best suited for their people. Understanding each country and their own personal needs can help resolve this by putting into perspective how that form of government benefits that specific country. It also helps with other issues regarding Eurocentrism because it brings into perspective how other countries aren’t like Europe due to their own needs and wants.
