Students can watch a recorded video of an interview with a first generation immigrant / refugee that has arrived in the US and is the owner / operator of a business. Students will then respond to the questions listed based on interview content and relevant research in the countries addressed. This assignment will require thoughtful and justified responses based on the course subject and the challenges of globalization.

Students will upload a APA formatted paper answering the questions below:

1. Research the economic milestones of USSR / Russia in the past 50 years and reflect on whether it has been a positive or negative progression

2. Based on the interviewee feedback, describe 5 challenges and/or opportunities an immigrant from Russia will experience as they transition into the US. This can include but not limited to; business regulations, culture, corruption etc.

Answers to be uploaded on CANVAS as a 3 -4 page (+ timelines, graphs, maps etc) by due date allocated.
