This week's assignment has two parts:

Part 1: Customize your interests

Select a reader, e.g., LinkedIn (Links to an external site.), Feedly (Links to an external site.), Flipboard (Links to an external site.), etc. , and take the following actions:

1. Follow at least five feeds from a discipline of interest, e.g. F&B, lodging, travel/tourism, etc. (show me the name and I will go follow them by myself)

2. Follow at least five feeds from the hospitality industry (show me the name and I will go follow them by myself)

3. Follow at least five feeds from organizations of interest (show me the name and I will go follow them by myself)

4. Follow at least five feeds from professionals you admire (show me the name and I will go follow them by myself)

Summarize your selections: What platform did you select to use? What are the professional interests that you cater to your social news reader? What are your picks (20) and why?

Also make plan for when you will read your news reader (3x in the next week). We will return to this assignment next week.

Part 2: Case summary

Write a summary of your response to the scenario from today’s discussion. [Use the questions in the Case Study document to frame your paragraph summary.) Which is on the attachment!!
