PITCH #2 WITH BUDGET:

Using the client brief provided in class on March 3, 2022 students are asked to develop a power point using images and text available through the Internet which, when put together by the student, provide the students best ideas for meeting the needs of the client brief for a more complex themed event or party, including providing a budget outline for the proposed event and its elements.

Pitches may use black and white or color photography, still images or video, and any graphics needed to make sure that the client gets a full sense of what the student is pitching. The purpose of the pitch is to provide students with practicing picking images and text that convey intentional messages of experience, quality and expertise designed to meet the needs of specific targeted clients. This pitch is also designed to give students the opportunity to include feedback from the previous pitch, as well as in-class critiques and ideas from pitches the student has seen in order to show improvement over the first pitch presented in March.

Budgets must include the best estimated price for each element of the event (food, decor, etc.), and provide a total budget for the event. Budgets should reflect information from class discussion regarding budgeting and pitches.

Students must upload their PowerPoint presentation to canvas for review and feedback by the professor according to the deadlines stated for the assignment. POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS SHOULD BE NO LONGER THAN 2 MINUTES; the final slide should be a complete budget breakdown by category for the event being proposed.

CLIENT BRIEF: GOOD FOR YOU if you've checked out your assignment early, because you get the following HINTS about what type of event you will be pitching for, and what kind of a vibe the client wants for the event. The earlier you start looking for ideas inspired by these clips, the farther ahead you'll be when the client brief comes in. YAY for you!
