Essay Requirements

(Only one essay is required for consideration by all scholarship programs.)  In the box below, briefly explain your reasons for submitting this application.  Discuss each of the following topics:

1.  Your personal circumstances as related to your financial need for a scholarship (Active Duty Military, served 18 years so far and could always use more financial help with completing my college degree)
2.  Your academic and career goals (Academic goal: BA in Business Admin and Career goal: Retire from the US Navy, complete BA degree, and transiting to a GS Logistic Civilian position with the Military)
3.  Your current employment and its relationship to your future plans (US Navy Logistics Specialist Rate and transition to a GS Logistic Civilian position with the Military)
4.  Your leadership roles and community involvement (Leadership role: Leads 5 Sailors in the receiving, processing, and delivery of the highest required CASREP parts to all USS ships in the C5F (5th Fleet) AOR. Community involvement: Setup and clean up of local beaches in Bahrain monthly for the past 2 years)  
5.  Elaborate on all of the items you checked under the "Check any that apply" section (I am the child of a Vietnam-ear veteran "My father", I am currently serving in the Bahrain C5F area of operation, and served in the Iraq water warzone in 2006)
