E-Commerce Course Project
Project Rationale: The purpose of this project is to research, analyze, and explain how a company implemented a particular aspect of e-commerce that improved that firm’s efficiency and/or effectiveness in their everyday business. This could include but is not limited to improvements in or introduction of processes in brand building, manufacturing, sales, after sales service, or supply chain management. You can choose any company in the world to profile. (Home Depot)
The following must be included in your paper:
Identify the following:
Name of the company you are profiling.(Home Depot)
Type of business or organization
o Briefly describe what they do, and the product or service they make or provide.
o Describe the process you have chosen to analyze.
o Based on your research, why did the firm choose to introduce or update this process?
o Describe the firm’s online presence and what revenue model they use.
o Perform a SWOT analysis of the firm utilizing a minimum of four points in each area of the SWOT.
o Identify all stakeholders involved.
Implementation
o Describe in detail three benefits of your initiative.
o How does this improve CRM?
o Outline the security concerns with this initiative.
o How did the firm offset them?
o What media opportunities are available with this process?
o State two business logic rules for the process the company introduced.
o Would you employ project manager software for this process?
o Why was this your choice?
o In your opinion, briefly describe anything that the company could have done differently that may have led to better results.

You will be evaluated on the following:
