"Hiring process" (The modelling is only based on the paragraph in italics)
Veggie Friend is a vegan food company located in Halifax, NS. Veggie Friend specializes in preparing fresh quality vegan food "on the go" in environmentally sustainable packaging. Veggie Friend started delivering food to offices and is now supplying retail stores. As part of this growth, the company is recruiting front-line and managerial employees. The full hiring process is described in more detail below.
The recruitment process starts with the HR department creating and posting the new position on the company's LikedIn page. Each job application is sent via email to the HR department. Two clerks in this department download the applications and generate an Excel file with the applicants' data, professional title and job position. HR waits approximately 4 weeks after the position is posted to start handling the applications. If the application is for managerial positions, HR sends the application to a senior manager, who will evaluate the applicants (e.g., assesses and interviews candidates) and provides the hiring decision back to HR. HR then prepares the job offer and sends it to the applicant. If the application is not for managerial positions, the HR department evaluates the applications (e.g., assesses and interviews applicants) and makes hiring decisions. Once a successful applicant receives the job offer, this applicant has one week to reply. If the applicant accepts the offer, HR sends a job contract to the new employee, if the applicant does not reply to the offer or rejects the offer, the applicant file gets archived and the process end.
